Hi {{first_name}} ,

Welcome to my latest Website Insights bulletin.

Most business owners don’t spend much time thinking about their website once it’s live.

That’s completely understandable. Running a business comes first, and if your website appears to be working, it’s easy to assume everything is fine.

The reality is that websites don’t usually stop performing overnight. More often, they gradually become less effective over time.

Perhaps a key member of staff has left but is still listed on the team page. A service has changed but the website still describes the old one. A competitor has refreshed their website, making yours look a little dated. Or maybe Google has changed the way it ranks websites, and you’re slowly slipping down the search results without even noticing.

None of these issues is a crisis on its own, but together they can have a real impact on how potential customers see your business.

Here are three simple questions worth asking:

• Is all the information on my website still accurate?
• Does it clearly reflect what my business offers today?
• Is it still helping turn visitors into enquiries?

If you’re unsure about the answer to any of those, it might be time for a fresh pair of eyes.

I’m always happy to take a look and let you know if I spot anything that could be improved. Sometimes the smallest changes can make the biggest difference.

Website tip of the month

Try looking at your homepage as if you’ve never seen it before. Within the first 10 seconds, can you tell exactly what your business does, who it’s for and what you want visitors to do next? If not, your customers may be struggling too.

As always, if you have any questions about your website, just reply to this email. I’m always happy to help.

All the best,

Adam.
