Welcome to my latest Website Insights bulletin.
Here’s a question for you:
How often do you find yourself answering the same questions from customers?
“What are your opening hours?”
“Do you cover my area?”
“How much does it cost?”
“Which service do I need?”
“How do I book?”
For most businesses, there are certain questions that come up again and again. The answers are probably already somewhere on your website, but that doesn’t necessarily mean your visitors will find them.
Sometimes, rather than searching through several pages, they’ll simply leave.
What if your website could answer them instead?
I’ve developed an AI Assistant that can be added to a website and trained using the information that’s already there.
Visitors can ask it questions in ordinary, everyday language and get an immediate answer based on your own website content.
So instead of hunting through pages looking for a particular piece of information, someone can simply ask:
“Do you offer this service?”
“Can you help me with…?”
“How do I get started?”
The Assistant can point them in the right direction, help them understand what you offer and encourage them to take the next step.
It doesn’t mind answering the same question for the 100th time!
It’s not there to replace human contact
I think that’s important. There are plenty of occasions when a customer needs to speak to a real person, and I certainly don’t want AI getting in the way of that.
The idea is simply to make your website more helpful when you’re not there to answer a question yourself, whether that’s during a busy working day or at 11 o’clock at night.
If you’re curious about how it works, just reply to this email. I’ll be happy to show you what it can do and whether it would be useful for your particular website.
Website tip of the month
Have a look through your recent emails and enquiries and make a note of the questions customers ask repeatedly.
Then check your website.
Are the answers easy to find?
If not, that’s useful information in itself. Whether you use AI or not, answering those questions more clearly could make your website more useful to potential customers.
As always, if you have any questions about your website, just reply to this email.
All the best,
Adam Bradford
